Hip Hop News: Who will be the first hip hop billionaire?

With so many people vying for that number one spot it makes me wonder who will be crowned the first hip hop billionaire. We have so many artists that are coming close. Jay Z is said to be worth somewhere around 600 million. If you can make that much money then you can very well be a billionaire, honestly hes not that far away. Also, Diddy and 50 cent can make great arguments for the title also. Diddy is said to be worth around 300 million but that will change for 2008. He made some really big deals in 2007 such as the Ciroc vodka collaboration. Eminem, Chris Lighty and Dr. Dre also make valid points on the billionaire scale. Eminem is said to be starting his own TV channel in partnership with another major media company. Dr. Dre has released his own line of headphones and he is also releasing some wine beverages and some non alcoholic beverages also. Who is your pick for the first hip hop billionaire?

Hip hop News: Juveniles daughter is murdered

Georgia authorities have arrested and charged a high school student who they suspect shot and killed the daughter of New Orleans rapper and former Cash Money recording artist Juvenile.

According to TMZ, Anthony Tyrone Terrell, Jr. has been charged with killing his mother, Gwinnett County Sheriff's Deputy Joy Deleston, 39, and her two daughters Micaiah, 11, and Jelani, 4 - who along with being Terrell's sister is also Juvenile's daughter. The Central Gwinnett High School sophomore has been booked on three counts of murder and three counts of aggravated assault and is being held in the DeKalb County Jail.

Juvenile (born Terius Gray) was arrested back in 2003 for abandoning Jelani. Reportedly a DNA test determined he was her father.

News: M.O.P leaves G-Unit

After being signed to G-Unit for three years M.O.P has decided to move on. They are currently shopping for deals at other labels. Their manager Laze is quoted as saying "Being signed to G-Unit help us get out of debt". Now we are starting all over. M.O.P have to release that monster hit and they have never passed gold in sales. The biggest hit they have had up to date is "Ante Up" which was released 8 years ago.

We all heard the rumors that Jay was gonna start a label with itunes. Well a few people have almost confirmed it and we won't know for sure until Apple announces it in about a month. People are already saying that there will be different divisions and it's gonna change the whole music industry. There still is a lot of money to be made in music but the right way. Jay is very smart if he goes through with this deal. He is rumored to be running the urban division.
